Left 4 Dead creator and lead designer Mike Booth has announced his return to game development with a brand-new co-op shooter currently known as Project Tacoma. Booth, now working under Bad Robot Games, says the project builds on the teamwork, tension, and replayability that made Left 4 Dead iconic. After leaving Turtle Rock Studios in 2012, Booth spent time at Blizzard and later worked on VR projects at Facebook before joining Bad Robot’s internal game studio. The new title is still early in development, but playtest signups have already opened for fans eager to get involved. Booth describes the game as a 4-player co-op experience that expands on ideas he’s wanted to explore for years. With no new Left 4 Dead entries in sight, players are hopeful Booth can once again shape the genre. #left4dead #gaming #gameplay #newgame
