Kumail Nanjiani revealed that his Eternals contract included commitments for six movies, a video game, and even a theme park ride. Speaking on the Working It Out podcast, he said Marvel made him feel like the next decade of his life would be full of projects, but “none of that happened.” The plan relied on Eternals becoming a breakout hit like Guardians of the Galaxy, which did get games and rides, but the film underperformed with $402 million worldwide. Marvel hasn’t released many games directly tied to the MCU, though it apparently left the option open. Nanjiani admitted the mixed reception to Eternals sent him to therapy, where he realized how much of his self-worth was tied to outside reactions. Still, he says he’s proud of the movie, and the experience has fueled new material for his standup comedy. #marvelstudios #gaming #kumailnanjiani #theeternals
