A24 is developing an Elden Ring movie, with writer-director Alex Garland at the helm. Garland, a huge fan who has beaten the game six times, pitched the project by writing a 160-page script plus 40 pages of imagery. He traveled to Japan to present it to creator Hidetaka Miyazaki, which secured the deal. A24 executives compared the game’s fantasy scope to The Lord of the Rings films, calling the adaptation “epic.” So far, Kit Connor is confirmed to star, with Cailee Spaeny rumored to be involved. The film remains highly secretive, and with Garland busy on other projects, it may be years before fans see it on screen. #eldenring #gaming #bandainamco #alexgarland #movie
