Speedrunner SummoningSalt has broken the Punch-Out speedrun record by defeating Mike Tyson in under two minutes. The new record time of 1:59.97 was achieved on February 8, 2025, after over 75,000 attempts. The record-breaking run required 21 frame-perfect punches, 10 frame-perfect dodges, and luck with odds of about 1 in 7,000 to 10,000. While SummoningSalt expects the record to be beaten eventually, they have no plans to lower it further, as luck plays a significant role in achieving a faster time. #punchout #gaming #nostalgia #speedrunner #worldrecord
