Commencement is in the books and now it's time to meet some of our
#Classof2021 graduates. Over the next two weeks we will be sharing some of their incredible stories and impressive accomplishments of our newest ricalumni!

We start today with Tyler Louie. He followed his sister's footsteps to RIC, but he's dancing to his own beat. He began his college studies at Emory University as a neuroscience and behavioral biology major. He struggled there and was looking for a fresh start. After watching his twin sister Talya graduate from the RIC Dance program in 2018, he decided to pursue his own dreams of dancing.

At RIC, Louie's academic fortunes have turned around. He graduated with a 3.4 grade point average. "One of the most valuable things I've learned at RIC is to just trust myself," says Louie, who at 25 is slightly older than his fellow graduates. "I've learned not to judge myself and to really bring everything forward that I have to offer, without having any inhibitions."
