#howitstartedvshowitsgoing: Women's #basketball at Rhode Island College began in secret. In the 1940s, what was then known as the Rhode Island College of Education offered no women-only sports, so these ladies formed an underground team, playing games in secret against other local schools. It was only when the the Providence Journal published the final score from one of their games that the team's existence became public knowledge. 🏀 Eighty years later, the current go_anchorwbb team just finished their best start ever, going undefeated with a nine-game winning streak. On Wednesday they'll take on Plymouth State in the semi-finals of the littleeastconf championship.
