RIC alumna Linda Harnois '86 (left) is helping to create a clear solution to a problem teachers and students will face this school year. Linda is a retired East Providence High School English teacher and her friend, Linda Greco (right), still teaches kindergarten in Johnston. They recognized that students – particularly younger children who are still learning words by watching people's lips – may struggle when a teacher is wearing a mask. Plus, when you're wearing a mask no one can see you smile. So together they developed the Speak E-Z mask, which allows teachers to protect themselves and students while still showing their smiles. The day after Linda Harnois posted her prototype to Facebook, she had 100 orders waiting for her. “I think we have sold our product to every single state,” she told the provjournal this week. Now that's a reason to smile! . 📷 x Kris Craig/Providence Journal . . . #RICNews #RICSpirit #RICAlumni #rhodeislandcollege #rhodeisland #maskupri #teacher #maskup #pr...
