Meet one of our #newanchors! Raymond Baccari is an incoming freshman who intends to major in #communications, with a concentration in #journalism. Raymond's passion for political journalism was nurtured at tapastars, where he attended high school and produced two documentaries in which he interviewed elected officials on topics ranging from gun control to the electoral college. "That's my absolute dream job – political journalism," he says. He hopes to follow in the footsteps of RIC alumnus Mike Montecalvo '84, an anchor for wpri12, and was thrilled to learn that there was such a notable name among RIC graduates. "That blew me away because he's the biggest name in Rhode Island journalism, alongside Tim White," says Raymond. "It made me even more excited to go to RIC." . . . #RICnews #experienceRIC #RICspirit ##riccepted2020 #rhodeislandcollege #newstudent #incomingstudents #offtocollege #journalismstudent #aspiringjournalist
