Randia Marie Dickerson graduated from RIC for the second time last Saturday, earning her MSW after getting her BSW in 2019. (Double anchor – woot! ⚓️⚓️) She’s also a #behavioralhealth specialist and #healthcareworker at a local hospital, where she works with patients that are mentally ill, autistic or developmentally delayed. She assists them with the activities of daily living, such as eating and personal hygiene – high-touch, up close and personal work that puts her at high risk of direct exposure to #covid19. She does it because she believes life is always about caring for others. “It is my hope that from this experience people understand that it is okay to put the best interests of others first,” she says. “It is okay to be kind.
