How do you stay centered? How do you cultivate your connections to that which makes you feel most alive? RIC senior Tempestt Spivey does so through #movement. A management major and #dance minor, Tempestt hopes to one day apply her studies to opening a #dancestudio teaching a special style: liturgical dance, a form of #prayer and #worship through bodily movement. “I began to do liturgical dance at church, and I’d get this warm sensation, like a blanket was covering me,” she recalls. “That’s when I knew that this was my calling... It grew into a passion and now I see it as my purpose.” Her hope is that she will draw people to discover dance the way she did, as an outlet for #selfexpression and to connect them to something greater than themselves. 💃🏾 . . . #RICnews #experienceRIC #RICspirit #humansofRIC #rhodeislandcollege #dancestudent #danceclass #dancing #dancer #bodymovement #spirit
