When Thomas Kenworthy graduated from RIC in 1995, he was the first in his family to earn a college degree. Twenty-five years later, he has been appointed as the new superintendent of of portsmouthschoolsri. Kenworthy considers himself the quintessential ricalumni: a #firstgeneration college graduate who chose RIC because it was affordable and because he knew his interest was in #education. “RIC provided me with a solid foundation and I had a great experience there,” he says. “I definitely recommend RIC to any high school student considering their options in this day and age of higher education costs.” . . . #RICnews #experienceRIC #RICspirit #RICalumni #humansofRIC #rhodeislandcollege #alumni #portsmouthri #educationalleadership #leadership #successstory #rhodeisland #eastbayri
