#foryourconsideration... Let’s do an #awardseason #throwbackthursday! 🏆 We’re looking back 10 years to when #author and RIC #englishprofessor (now professor emeritus) Thomas Cobb brought a touch of #hollywood 🌟to campus. It was #2010 and the movie “Crazy Heart” 🎬starring Jeff Bridges, which was adapted from Prof. Cobb’s novel 📖of the same name, was nominated for 3 #academyawards. (It won 2: #bestactor 🎭for Bridges and Best Original Song.🎼) Cobb celebrated with a book signing ✒️and film screening 🎞 at Roberts Hall. ❓❓❓ Can anyone name the most recent critically-acclaimed film based on a novel by a RIC English professor? Hint: It’s from 2018 and starred Chloe Grace Moretz. . . . #RICnews #experienceRIC #RICspirit #rhodeislandcollege #thursdaythrowback #tbt #throwback #tenyearsago #movies #film #filmadaptation #crazyheart #jeffbridges #oscars #oscarnoms
