Enrolling at #college is a big adjustment for anyone (looking at you, #newanchors), but for Christine Curley ‘17, MA ‘19 that adjustment was bigger than most. Nearly 25 years into her career as a #lawyer, she decided to pursue her true passion, #psychology. That meant coming to RIC as a 50-year-old “non-traditional student.” She shared her experiences today today in an article for businessinsider – learning new technologies, being older than some of her professors, and having to admit that pulling all-night study sessions doesn’t work in your fifties. But her ultimate lesson can apply to to #collegestudents of any age: “Pushing my boundaries of thought, learning and relationships was a challenge that went beyond simply attending classes.”
