Meet our graduates: While enrolled in her high school’s #specialeducation program, Lauren DelBrocco was told it was improbable she could advance to college because of her “inability to retain information,” she said. But Lauren had a talent for art and Rhode Island College recognized it. In May she graduated with the #StudioArt Award, a competitive prize given to #graduating seniors. She will go on to earn a #mastersdegree in #metal#design at eastcarolinauniv, on a Graduate Scholar Award and the Robert Ebendorf Graduate Scholarship for Excellence in Metal Design. “The feeling of accomplishment fills me,” said DelBrocco, who graduated this month with a 3.9 grade point average. “I’m satisfied with my progress but there is a lot more I want to accomplish.”
