We’re excited to welcome Pegah Ramanian as the new director of the #rhodeislandcollege Unity Center! She comes to us after four years as executive director of youthinactionri. She will coordinate, manage and lead the Unity Center and all of its programs: riclgbtq, ricwomenscenter, #Interfaith Office & #InternationalStudents Office. “We live in times where #engagement around difference is fraught, and I hope the #UnityCenter serves as a location where we challenge some of these #narratives,” she says. “We should play an important role in #buildingcommunity, particularly for our #students who come from #communitiesofcolor, #immigrant and #firstgeneration households.” ric_community_equity_diversity . . . #RICnews #humansofRIC #experienceRIC #RICspirit #unity #equity #diversity #inclusion #lgbt #lgbtq #peopleofcolor #unityindiversity #communityengagement #diversitymatters #womenscenter
