“RIC is a school that works at giving support to those who are not as fortunate as I was,” says #ricalumni Fred Harrison ‘07. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Fred was already in his 50s and retired from a career in chemical engineering and manufacturing when he decided to pursue his passion for #teaching. He discovered RIC’s teacher certification programs and embarked on an unexpected path of pursuing a second bachelor’s degree. It was not an easy transition back into life as a #collegestudent, but math #professor Helen Salzberg became instrumental to his success.
