Rex Heuermann, who has been accused of murdering at least seven women in the Gilgo Beach case, entered a guilty plea on Wednesday, bringing a decade-long investigation to a close. The plea occurred during a hearing that had initially been scheduled as a routine pre-trial session for his trial planned this fall.
