In 2020, 16-year-old Louise Smith moved in with her aunt in Havant Thicket, Hampshire, after arguing with her mother, but the worse of Louise's problems would lie ahead. Smith's aunt's husband, Shane Mays, 35, would make the teen extremely uncomfortable ultimately leading to him being convicted of manslaughter by the Winchester Crown Court. Smith's burned and bludgeoned body was found in the woods, nearly two weeks after going missing. According to the prosecution, Mays 'flirted' with Smith leading to him luring her into the woulds and 'silencing' her after attempting to sexually assault the teen. CCTV captured Mays casually walking into a convenience store shortly after the killing Smith. 📷 Solent News #crime #truecrime #trial #hampshire #news
