Let it rip. Our team recently visited Leadville, Colorado for some high altitude testing on our newest platform integration with the FreeFly Astro Max (@freeflysystems). Besides being the highest incorporated city in the United States, Leadville holds an interesting place in American mining history after helping put Colorado on the map with a massive silver and gold boom in the 1860s - 1890s. That came to an abrupt halt in 1893 with the repeal of the Sherman Silver Purchase Act, causing mines to close and the economy to suffer greatly. But visitors to Leadville can still find pieces of that mining history in the @taboroperahouse, the @mining_hall_of_fame and through a variety of old structures in the surrounding landscape.
