There’s something special about a friendship with another CP mom… It’s not just that she understands the appointments, the therapy schedules, the advocacy, or the constant mental load. It’s that she understands all of it without needing an explanation. You don’t have to start every story with context. You don’t have to explain why certain milestones feel so big or why some days feel so heavy. She already knows. This weekend was a reminder of how important it is to find people who truly get your life. The laughs were easier, the conversations were deeper, and somehow the weight we’ve both carried felt a little lighter. If you’re a CP mom and you’ve found that friend, hold onto her.
