This post was inspired by a video I saw of a woman acting shocked when a section in the library was titled ‘books trying to warn us’ and she was playfully surprised. Myself on the other hand thought, duh?! Artists, storytellers and creatives are constantly using the medium of film, television and writing to tell us something. To share a perspective, to share an opinion. These stories are all dystopian, none of them are strictly based on reality but they all build on the same idea of a warning. A warning to the viewer, to the reader. If you’re a fan of dystopian stories then you’ve probably watched or read all of these but if you’re not, maybe give one of these a try and see if you can spot the warning. #dystopian #handmaidstale #filmreview #recommended
