We’ve all heard of Harris Dickinson right? The tall, handsome actor who just raised the bar even higher. ‘urchin’ is Dickson’s feature debut, not only did he directed this piece but he wrote it too. ‘Urchin’ is a vulnerable tale of addiction and homelessness, we follow Mike on his journey to sobriety but we soon watch him spiral out of control. The film is simple, it’s memorable and it is incredibly poignant. I was left feeling empty, deeply moved and saddened by the film - it’s one to watch if you’re a fan of character studies.
