Hey guys! I’m here with CSE to provide some insight into what pre-season preparation looks like for me! My preparation starts way back in September. The fall semester is when we put in the work as a team to be prepared for spring. Every week of fall includes 3 lifts, 2 conditioning sessions, and 5-6 practices along with some fall games to prepare for spring season.
Coming back in January, we continue to push ourselves to get ready for the start of a long season. Two things that really help me prepare for season are putting in extra work on my own and taking care of my body as best as I can. I love hitting in the cages by myself at night because I am able to break down my swing and focus on building muscle memory to grow my confidence. Last year I got to experience a full spring season for the first time, and I learned how important it is to take care of my body in order to last through a 4-5 month season without injury.
