St. Tammany Parish voters will head to the polls on Nov. 3 to elect their next sheriff following the resignation of former Sheriff Randy Smith. The St. Tammany Parish Council voted Monday to call a special election to fill the vacancy, setting in motion the process to choose a new leader for the Sheriff's Office after months of controversy surrounding Smith's departure. While no one has officially announced their candidacy for sheriff, some well-known names are circulating as potential contenders. #StTammanyParish #StTammanySheriff #LouisianaNews #LouisianaPolitics #SpecialElection #SheriffElection #ParishNews #NorthshoreNews #StTammany #LocalNews #GovernmentNews #PoliticalUpdate #NewsUpdate #LawEnforcement #RandySmith #SheriffRace #LouisianaElections
