Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) refers to a group of symptoms that happens right before the monthly period. Many get PMS, and the symptoms can last up to one to two weeks before the menstrual period. Common symptoms include fatigue, bloating, irritability, depression, and anxiety. Many women experience real/legit mood changes during PMS, whether they’re fighting anger and irritability or isolation and depression. When the symptoms are severe, women can have trouble at work, school, or getting along with family and friends. This is called premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) which is not as common as PMS and can cause severe mood alterations and affect your ability to function. . If you experience moods so low they sideline you from your normal activities or obligations, and it persists despite lifestyle changes, consider talking with your healthcare provider. . . . . . #menstrualcycle #menstrualhealth #menstruation #menstruationmatters #periodcramps #pms #periodproblems #periods...
