Will it cause canc3r? The answer is no……at least not by itself. Several factors can affect your risk. But having a risk factor, or even several risk factors, does not mean that you will get cancer. Many with known risk factors will never develop cancer, while others with this disease may have few or no known risk factors. The most important risk factor for an*l cancer is an infection by HPV. Other risk factors are a history of an*l warts, other cancers, HIV infection, being s*xually active, lowered immunity as well as gender+race. Having multiple partners will increase the risk of infection with HIV and HPV which in turn may increases the risk of anal cancer. This is not to dissuade you from having an*l s*x if that’s what you prefer, it is to highlight the importance of safe s*xual practices as this can help mitigate your risk.
