Once infected with gonorrhea, symptoms can develop within about 2 weeks, although they sometimes do not appear until many months later. Many individuals will not experience any obvious symptoms, which means the condition can go untreated for some time. Symptoms vary between individuals but the most common ones are the unusual discharge which may be white, yellow to green and the burning sensation when trying to pee(dysuria). Besides the more common sites for an infection, it is also possible to get a gonorrhea infection involving the eyes, throat or rectum. It is IMPORTANT TO GET TESTED if you think there’s a chance you are infected. If left undiagnosed and untreated, you can continue to spread the infection and there's a risk of potentially serious complications.
