Frankie is 11 years old. His favorite food is spaghetti and meatballs. He is an advanced green belt in karate. When he grows up he wants to be a veterinarian or a massage therapist. He is also a childhood cancer hero. Diagnosed when he was 6 years with a brain tumor called astrocytoma, Frankie has been fighting cancer as well as long term side effects from treatment for 5 years. Right now, Frankie is in the hospital, critically ill. While Frankie fights for his health, Team Frankie continues to fight for safer treatments and cures. This week, his friend and classmate Emma, hosted a Spaghetti and Meatballs fundraiser for Team Frankie and ALSF, raising over $6,000. Emma planned, promoted and hosted the entire event, for her friend, who she calls a light in her life.
