On Episode 2 of Collectively Verified, our host Natalie Silverstein sits down with Marissa Solan, Director of US Earned and Social Media at haleon, the company behind Advil, Theraflu, Sensodyne, and TUMS.
One of Marissa’s biggest points is that consumers own brands now. They shape the conversation, the visuals, and how other people discover and understand a brand, and what they say usually carries more weight than anything a brand says about itself.
Her view is that companies willing to accept that reality and hand creators the keys, even in a category as regulated as health, will be better positioned to build credibility and real reasons to believe.
