We’d like to introduce you to
#CHOPWalkforHope ambassador, Zach! Described by his family as a kind-hearted and hard-working teen, this 16-year-old recently celebrated an important milestone: getting his drivers’ license. Zach has had symptoms of Crohn’s disease since he was a baby but wasn’t referred to CHOP until he was 7 when he stopped growing. He was then diagnosed with Crohn’s, a form of IBD, and he began treatment with daily medication to control his symptoms and slowly repair his intestine. Today, Zach runs track and plays on his high school football team and is looking ahead to his senior year of high school, choosing a college and planning for his future.
Support our IBD patients like Zach by participating in the Walk for Hope on Sunday, June 9 at Citizens Bank Park. All proceeds will go toward research and care for children with IBD. Register today at the link in our bio.
