Meet #CHOPWalkforHope ambassador, Nadya! She is a personable and outgoing teen who is earning honors in high school in the hopes of becoming a pediatric nurse. Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at age 6, Nadya, now 15, has faced a challenging journey to find the right treatment – at the right hospital – to get symptom relief. It was during her treatments that she began talking to nurses about their jobs and decided she wanted to pursue a nursing career to help other kids with IBD. Today, Nadya is feeling great and has an active school and social life. Join us at the Walk for Hope at Citizens Bank Park on Sunday, June 9 to support patients like Nadya.
