It’s National #PharmacyWeek which is a great time to provide more detail about our Clinical Pharmacists! They are highly trained experts who are part of patient care teams and have completed post-graduate residency or fellowship programs. Clinical Pharmacists work directly with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers and deliver expert review of medication therapies and education. Our pharmacists are specialized in areas such as acute and intensive care, oncology, transplant, emergency medicine, drug information, toxicology, antimicrobial stewardship, and medication safety, and are also involved with research, education, quality improvement and patient safety.
