National #PharmacyWeek: Spotlight on Investigational Drug Service Pharmacy This team of clinical research pharmacists and technicians complement CHOP’s clinical research mission in advancing new therapeutic modalities and providing support to the Research Institute by ensuring that clinical trials involving investigational products are conducted safely and efficiently from study initiation to completion. They work closely to manage drug inventory and recordkeeping for more than 300 clinical trials conducted at Philadelphia and King of Prussia hospitals. They collaborate closely with other teams and departments to ensure that investigational products are handled and stored in accordance with study protocol and sponsor requirements, relevant clinical practice guidelines, and all applicable institutional, state, and federal rules and regulations.
