When 12-year-old Rani was accidentaly exposed to a food allergen during a family vacation abroad, she collapsed in the streets and needed to be rushed to the hospital.
“Before our trip, we thought Rani could just avoid all of the foods she was allergic to,” says Rani’s mom. “But after she was hospitalized in Italy, we knew avoidance wasn’t enough.
Rani's family decided it was best for her to enroll in our #OralImmunotherapy (#OIT) Program, where food allergy experts could safely expose her to food allergens to help desensitize her to the very foods she was allergic to. Since starting her OIT treatment, not only is Rani tolerating small amounts of food allergens - her family says she's now more confident and outgoing! Read her story using the #linkinbio.
