Taking place at the beautiful Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden’s Kelly Education Center, first-up is the presentation of the 2022 Growing Good Kids Book Awards and then to the much-anticipated school garden tours and the urban greenspaces tour, which explores Richmond’s community organizations that are leading the charge to providing more equitable access to nature and healthy foods in an urban environment. This morning’s whirl-wind outing wraps up with a tour of healing gardens, spaces that harness the therapeutic power of nature to heal and mend physical and emotional trauma, recover from addition, and mitigate stress and anxiety.
