We are pleased to spotlight Bart O’Brien of the Regional Parks Botanical Garden in Berkeley, California, recipient of the 2022 Liberty Hyde Bailey Award, the highest of the AHS Great American Gardeners awards. Bart has been a leading figure in Western horticultural circles for more than four decades who tirelessly promoted California native plant horticulture and has helped to conserve the state’s incredible biodiversity. While at the Regional Parks Botanic Garden, Bart has been instrumental in the enhancement of the garden’s collections, making a beautiful and tranquil living museum, one of the largest and most artfully constructed crevice gardens in North America. Over the next several days, AHS will be highlighting each of the recipients of the 2022 Great American Gardeners Awards. Join us as we congratulate Bart on his remarkable contributions to the field of horticulture and gardening! #regionalparksbotanicgarden #greatamericangardener #gardeningawards #sanfranciscocity #sanfranc...
