In 2013, I was competing at the National Championships, attempting to qualify for a chance to compete at the World Championships. I got so worked up and nervous, that I false started, and was disqualified. • As I lay on the track crying, my brother ran down, picked me up, and said, “You. Are. Okay.” For words that seemed so simple, it was everything that I needed in this moment; when something that I had been working all year for, had come crashing down. • Who’s that person in your life, who will pick you up? If you can’t think of one, don’t worry! You can be that person for someone else, and you just might inspire them to turnaround and be that person for you too!
