When Isozaki won the Pritzker Prize in 2019, the official citation said "...he is a pioneer in understanding that the needs of architecture are both global and local"; the same citation also read "...in his career he has transcended the context of architecture to raise questions that transcend eras and boundaries". Isozaki has indeed designed and built everywhere in the world, aware, perhaps the world's first architect, that 'global' and 'local' are two forces part of the same challenge. A challenge he fought by designing and building more than just boxes as some have written these days. . . #aspectarchitecture #architecture #building #buildings #architexture #design #minimal #architecturelovers #archilovers #landscape #enricofabbriad #xplanemastersketch #acrossdesign #dezeen #thecoolhunter_ #modernarchitect #allofarchitecture #architecturenow #contemporary_architecture #amazingarchitecture #thedesignfiles #archellofeatured #global #local #isozaki
