Astronauts speak of an overwhelming sense of awe and wonder at the moment when gravity is lost and Earth first appears in the porthole. It’s called the Overview Effect, and Benjamin Grant has been on a mission to reproduce it en masse one aerial image at a time since 2013. Today, dailyoverview has 1.1 million followers on Instagram and his images have been featured in publications and galleries worldwide. This week on Snapshots, our weekly newsletter, we interviewed Benjamin about the project and his artistic process. Check out the issue at the link in our bio and subscribe if you haven’t already!
