Valentine’s Day Science Activity❣️Try out this smart science activity to do with your little ones to start learning about the properties of oil and water and how they don’t mix! 1. Fill a beaker (or container with water) and set it aside. 2. Take vegetable oil (or baby oil) and dye it with GEL food coloring. Water-based food coloring will make a different activity entirely so it has to be an oil-based food coloring. I dyed mine 3 different shades. 3. Use a funnel to help kids pour the oil into different test tubes. 4. Pour the water into a shallow dish. 5. Have kids use the Jumbo Droppers and squeeze the oil into the water and watch how they don’t mix but instead form two separate layers with oil sitting on top because it’s less dense. This is a quick and easy experiment to do and it makes the coolest water. We threw in some Valentine’s Day loose parts to decorate our water with and called it a day! 🎥: celenakinsey #valentinesactivities #learningresources #sensoryplay #sensoryplayi...
