Happy 50th anniversary to
#EarthDay!
.
Today we’re continuing
#ArtistWednesday to celebrate some of the artists in our collection who reuse materials from everyday life in their work. From Alison Knowles’s found object sculpture to Tejo Remy and Droog Design’s eco-conscious chest of drawers, these artists are interested in reimagining new uses for “old” material.
.
See the link in our bio for more information about each of the works here.

Second image: A sculpture of wooden and metal chairs, stacked to create a shelf. Third image: A delicate sculpture reminiscent of a wind chime, made with one long thread wrapped around small twisted objects. Fourth image: A set of individual drawers stacked at angles and wrapped in a band of jute.
