Yesterday, we asked which artists you’d like us to feature. Today, we’re sharing this gorgeous painting by #GustavKlimt, courtesy of a suggestion from emilysciulli. (Thanks, Emily!) . While perhaps most famous for his stylized portraits, Klimt painted many landscapes throughout his career. This painting shows off his love of intricate patterns and his unusual approach to composition: nearly 2/3 of the painting is filled with the grass and wildflowers of this meadow, giving the viewer the illusion of standing within the image, looking out to the trees in the distance. . We’ll keep sharing your favorites from the collection, as you enjoy the #MuseumFromHome. Let us know your picks down below! . Gustav Klimt, Orchard, 1907, Carnegie Museum of Art
