Nathan Rourke and Kieran Poissant of the BC Lions headed to Victoria to speak with students about Be More Than a Bystander. The program empowers youth to stand up, speak out, and be leaders in their communities. Be More Than a Bystander is more than a program; it’s a movement. With the incredible support of our partner, Ending Violence Association of BC Government of British Columbia, and the BC Maritime Employers Association, along with BC Federation of Labour and Teck Resources Limited, this initiative has grown far beyond football. From Canadian Football League locker rooms to classrooms and even workplaces, thousands are learning how to stand up against gender-based violence.
