Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na... Bat Week!!!
Holy echolocation, Bat Fan!
Millions of bats call national parks home, representing more than 45 unique species. These winged wonders pollinate plants, devour insects, navigate by echolocation, and leave visitors marveling at their mysterious ways. Some migrate, while others hibernate, and all are facing threats of some kind.
This Bat Week, we’re shining the Bat-Signal on these nocturnal creatures and the conservation efforts working to protect them around the world. Because when it comes to keeping ecosystems healthy, bats are the heroes we need, even if they prefer the night shift.
