Happiest of birthdays to Richard “Dick” Cogdal who is 107 years YOUNG today. Mr. Cogdal is our most experienced band alum and played bass drum, cymbals and timpani under the first Director of Bands, Albert Austin Harding. Mr. Cogdal is an inspiration to us all and the definition of TRUE ILLINI spirit.
