Tom Williams concluded a distinguished 50-plus-year career in tourism. He moved to Orlando in 1988 to open Universal Studios Florida and, after being named the park’s president in 1990, transformed the destination into a multi-park, hotel, and entertainment complex. Appointed Chairman and CEO of Universal Parks & Resorts in 1999, Mr. Williams oversaw the brand’s global expansion, including parks in Osaka, Singapore, and Beijing.
