Jospeh Lang was a motor vehicle enforcement officer for the Iowa DOT. When Gov. Kim Reynolds and Iowa Republicans overhauled state government last year, the MVEs moved to the Department of Public Safety and became a branch of the Iowa State Patrol. Lang's training as part of the transition included a tactical medical course. Reynolds praised him and the training for helping save a life during last week's school shooting in Perry during her annual Condition of the State address.
