NWSL and NWSLPA have agreed to remove restrictive HIP rule qualifications, allowing any player to be eligible starting in 2027. This comes almost a year after the rule was first introduced in December 2025, allowing the Washington Spirit to sign Trinity Rodman to a new contract worth over $2 million.
