This fortification system was constructed over centuries to protect China's northern borders, spanning over 6,400 kilometers from Shanhaiguan in the east to Lop Nur in the west 🏯. It is the longest man-made structure in the world and the largest in terms of surface area and mass. Despite being named one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, flying drones over the wall is restricted by Chinese law and requires prior permission 🚫. Visitors should follow local regulations and be mindful of the steep stairs and challenging terrain ⚠️.
