Lush houseplants radiate warmth and light and make an important difference to our mental, emotional, and physical well-being. That euphoric feeling being surrounded by plants has a name: biophilia. It is the natural draw we all have to connect with nature. Plants make us happy. That same feeling is captured in this fresh and verdant #MuseumMomentofZen, painted by artist Trafford Klots. Trafford, who is known for his bucolic scenes and high society portraits, was the son of prominent Baltimorean Agnes Boone Klots. This portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, set in Palm Beach, is said to have been finished by Trafford in his studio on Branch Alley in 1964 – between St. Paul St. and North Charles St. in Mt Vernon, Baltimore.
